Major technological advances in various fields have led us to adopt digital skills in our daily lives, facilitating many tasks such as scheduling medical appointments, shopping online, using social media, and downloading and installing apps on our phones. This has allowed us to be more creative, competitive, and improve products and services. But, speaking specifically about the educational sphere, how do these digital skills manifest themselves in education? And what should we, as teachers and facilitators of knowledge, keep in mind?
Below, we share our vision and perspective from our UNICAB Virtual school, with our model called the UNICAB Virtual Ecosystem for e-learning for primary and secondary education. We have defined digital competencies from the perspective of the European Framework for Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu) and the ICT Competence standards for teachers proposed by UNESCO.

Cordial saludo.
